- The energy saved by recycling glass bottles and jars in Cumbria last year is enough to power:
- 3.5million 100w light bulbs for an hour or one 100w light bulb for over 400 years
- 7 million computers for 25 minutes or one computer for over 800 years
- 4 million TVs for the length of a soap opera
- 1 million washing machines for a complete cycle
