Exterminate your kitchen waste

A recycled Doctor Who scarecrow, accompanied by a compost bin dalek is making an appearance on the Dalston village scarecrow trail this year. The Resource Cumbria team rustled up a Doctor Who scarecrow from plastic shopping bags and dressed him in donated clothes. He`s even got a plastic bag tie!

The compost bin dalek was made using one of the cut-price compost bins that are available for Cumbrian householders. The dalek is helping to spread the word about how compost bins can exterminate waste by turning your fruit and veg, teabags, eggshells, shredded paper and lots more into great compost for your garden. Doctor Who and the compost bin dalek will be outside the Victory Hall in Dalston until Saturday 9th August.
