A fistful of rubbish

Throughout April, Resource Cumbria will be running our latest recycling awareness campaign based around an international award winning TV advert known as "A fistful of rubbish."

The advert, originally developed on behalf of Devon County Council, was directed by Peter Richardson of `The Comic Strip Presents` fame on behalf of the Exeter based advertising agency, RH Advertising. The advert follows a spaghetti western storyline with a recycling standoff ending with two men stripping naked and pushing their clothes into the recycling bank. As they strip off an old lady passing by on her bicycle steers into a ditch. The strapline is "Recycling. Give it all you`ve got."

As well as the TV advert we also placed adverts on the sides of local buses and developed a complementary radio script.
