Get a new bin

  • Contact your local district council for a kerbside recycling box if this service is in your area, or
  • Place a new recycling container by your normal dustbin and collect your paper, card, bottles and tins. Then take them to your nearest bring site or household recycling centre.

Slim down on food

If you are already thinking about your waistline and are changing your eating habits, why not only buy the food you need. It should cost you less and you will not be clearing out the fridge at the end of the month with lots of wasted, unused items.

Make your garden beautiful

With the food that you do throw away, why not try home composting - a third of what is thrown away could easily be transformed into compost. Great for your garden.
